How to Cancel App Store Purchase

App Store Purchases ONLY

Important: You must actively cancel the subscription using the process described below. If you uninstall the app but don't cancel your subscription first, you will still be charged by Apple.

After your current period ends, whether it is part of a free trial or a regular recurring subscription, iTunes will no longer bill you for that subscription. Your membership or subscription might renew if you don't cancel your membership or subscription more than 24 hours before your renewal date.

  1. Launch the Settings app.
  2. Tap iTunes & App Store.
  3. Tap on your Apple ID.
  4. Tap View Apple ID when the pop up window appears.
  5. Enter your Apple ID password or fingerprint ID when prompted.
  6. Tap Subscriptions.
  7. Tap the Subscription you want to cancel.
  8. Tap Cancel Subscription.
  9. Tap Confirm when prompted to confirm that you want to cancel your subscription.

Important: Uninstalling an app will not automatically stop your subscription. You must cancel your subscription to end your subscription. If you uninstall the app without canceling your subscription, you will still be charged. If an app you've purchased a subscription for is removed from Google Play, your future subscription will be automatically canceled but past subscriptions will not be refunded.

  1. Launch the Google Play Store app.
  2. Tap Menu
  3. Tap My Apps
  4. Tap Subscriptions and tap on the app of the subscription you’d like to cancel.
  5. Alternatively, tap Menu
  6. Tap My Apps
  7. Tap the app of the subscription you’d like to cancel
  8. Tap the app’s details page.
  9. Tap “Cancel” and “Yes” to confirm the cancellation.
  10. Now, the status of this Subscription has been changed from Subscribed to Canceled.
