Starting a new fitness journey can be daunting, but we all start somewhere. It’s important to find what inspires you to get up, get out, and get going. Our GOLD’S AMP™ Coaches have a few pointers for everyone just getting started.

COACH LEE

"Really have fun working out and take your fitness journey one step at a time. The best way to make your workouts fun is to have good music, a friend or trainer for guidance, and a realistic goal to hit. When you enjoy exercising and spending time improving your fitness, it will become a part of your lifestyle and not just another chore. Don’t get frustrated with the little things, but instead celebrate small victories. Don’t be too hard on yourself but be grateful for the health and fitness that you already possess. Don’t let excuses get in your way and always be eager to improve. Your fitness journey will be an exciting challenge if you can keep a positive and realistic mindset."

COACH DALLAS

"My best advice for beginners is to NEVER GIVE UP. This is a fitness JOURNEY and nothing happens overnight. If you stick to your workouts, focus on fueling your body with delicious nutritional food, and come back to the gym even when you don'y want to you will see result! It just takes time!"

COACH DAIGLE

"Consistency before intensity! Establish a routine that fits into your week and stick to it! Don't try to make up for lost time in a single work out. Open your mind. Don't just focus on your weight, or your body fat percentage or your pants size. Yes, those things are great indicators that you are moving in the right direction, but focusing too heavily on a number can be dangerous. Instead, allow yourself to think 'Everyday, I will do something to improve my overall health.' That way, you can feel proud about doing even the smallest thing that helps move you towards your goal."

COACH LINDSEY

"One of my favorite quotes is 'Don't compare your chapter 1 with someone's chapter 47.' I always tell people: Allow yourself to be a beginner! It's OK to have no idea what you are doing, you are taking a BIG first step, that's AMAZING. Take your time and enjoy the journey. Remember, you are becoming the best possible version of YOURSELF. You are strong than you think, you got this!"
